The police authority has a vital role in making sure the community is policed properly in the Avon and Somerset police force area. We set objectives, approve the local Policing Plan and set an annual budget for the force.


The site has been designed to be very easy to navigate, using the links to the left and below. Through this site you can find out more about the role and responsibilities of the authority and its committees, meet the police authority members and, very importantly, let us have your feedback on how the police service is run in this area.


Your views are vitally important to us and can definitely influence some of the decisions we make so please let us have your comments.
