Citizen Focused Policing Programme Board

To exercise all the Police Authority's powers and duties in relation to:


  1. Govern the direction of strategic Citizen Focused Policing projects in a programme linked to Home Office initiatives;
  2. ensuring that projects have a people focused approach and are connected with community engagement work;
  3. oversee the development of an Avon and Somerset Neighbourhood Policing Model;
  4. ensuring an effective community engagement strategy on each BCU;
  5. ensuring that there are suitable mechanisms to receive informed and representative views from all sections of the community;
  6. ensuring that best use is made of the responses from the various forms of community engagement, complaints and ogranizational feedback;
  7. monitoring the introduction of the Force Service Centre and its effectiveness in providing a service to the public on non-emergency issues;
  8. Deal with other community engagement issues as may arise from time to time;
  9. development of the Quality of Service Commitment.
