Meetings

The Police Authority holds regular meetings throughout the year to discuss a variety of issues affecting policing in our force area. The meetings are open to the public and members of the media and community are encouraged to attend.

A number of committees also meet to look at specific areas of the force. They consist of members of the Police Authority who discuss a range of specialist topics such as performance, finance and human resources. The Police Authority delegates its work to a number of committees through the Scheme of Delegation. the committees are able to make decisions in their own right or can make recommendations either to other committees or to full meetings of the Police Authority.

More details about the Police Authority and committee meeting is available through the link on the left of this page and all currently agreed meeting dates are in the calendar below.

Meeting agendas and documents will be available five working days before a meeting and the minutes will be available before the next committee meeting.

The calendar also highlights events members will be attending with our partners not all of these are open to the public. In addition there are a number of community consultation events throughout the year which members and staff will be attending.
