Brave Authority member honoured (27th July 2007)
A prestigious Waley-Cohen award has been presented to Police Authority member Christopher Davies after he tackled two men involved in a robbery.

Chair re-elected on national body (24th July 2007)
The Chair of Avon and Somerset Police Authority, has been re-elected as a Deputy Chair of the Association of Police Authorities.

Chair attends launch of National Workforce Modernisation Programme (16th July 2007)
Dr Moira Hamlin, Chair of Avon and Somerset Police Authority, attended the official launch of the National Workforce Modernisation Programme, held at the new Wembley Stadium last week.

Members visit muddy Glastonbury! (13th July 2007)
Although the mud prevented the group from seeing the whole of the site, at Worthy Farm, Pilton, in June, they were able to see many aspects of the police operation – some even daring to go by foot!

New member appointed (29th June 2007)
Avon and Somerset Police Authority has a new member.
