The Police Authority has recently supported the introduction of a new process for police and community engagement in Avon and Somerset - Partners and Communities Together or PACT.
This initiative is aimed at giving you a say about how your local neighbourhood is policed and managed.
PACT meetings provide an opportunity to meet local police and representatives of other organisations such as the council, housing associations and residents associations, who all work to improve community safety.
They are designed to give you a chance to task your local neighbourhood policing team to deal with the top crime and community safety priorities in your area.
We aim to ensure that PACT meetings are held in each local area. You can find out where and when your next PACT meeting is due to take place by entering your postcode
here. This will also tell you about your local policing priorities and further PACT information.
At the PACT meeting you can tell your Neighbourhood Team what issues concern you. After the meeting, a smaller group called a PACT Partnership Panel decides on how they will work together to resolve these neighbourhood priorities;
The Neighbourhood Team reports back to the next meeting on progress made, and updates the local pages of the Avon and Somerset Constabulary
website so that you can see what is being done even if you are not able to attend the meeting.
